Shock Resistance

Shock resistance are usually find at the back of a sports watch. This simply means that these watches are able to withstand mechanical shock. The shock resistant watches are designed in such a way that the delicate pivots that are responsible for holding the balancing wheel in place are carefully mounted on a suspension spring system, which will buffer the watches from impact if they are dropped. The shock resistant watches undergo rigorous tests and they have to pass the ISO shock resistant standard, which means that if you see any of these watches being sold know that they are built to last.
